Things to Do in Clearwater
The beach, the mainland and nearby communities offer a wide array of activities, events and places to go. These include our world-class beaches, boating, fishing, sports, parks and camping, as well as rich arts, performing arts, cultural venues, fantastic shopping and fun-filled and thrilling attractions.
There are also many festivals throughout the year. Activities and events are everywhere and it seems something is always going on.
Clearwater Beach Marina
The beach marina has an awesome variety of boating fun and adventure choices - almost 50 options packed into one marina across from the beach!
The marina offers boat tours, adventure and fun tours, charter sailboats, dinner boat cruises and sightseeing, jet ski and boat rentals, tiki cruise, paddleboards and kayaks, parasailing, wake boarding, tubing, speed boat rides, charter fishing and party boats.
Clearwater Harbor Marina
Clearwater Harbor hosts a second marina located on the mainland side of the city. It has over 100 boat slips. There is 1,000 feet of dock space for overnight visitors and 600 feet for daytime visitors (fees apply).
With its close proximity to the downtown area and Coachman Park, the marina is an excellent choice for boaters who want to vist the downtown area or enjoy any of the many events and festivals throughout the year
Area Attractions
Two attractions within the city include the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and BayCare BallPark, which hosts many games, events and is home of Phillies Spring Training.
In the area are more attractions including Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, The Florida Aquarium, ZooTampa at Lowry Park, and The Florida Botanical Gardens. With Orlando nearby, the many Disney, Universal, Sea World and Legoland theme parks are within driving distance.
Beach Activities
For many, the beach is the number one activity in Clearwater with its soft, white sand and pleasant Gulf waters. There is on-beach volleyball, Pier 60 activities and numerous boating activities from the local marina. Relax under a beach umbrella or cabana (available for rent). Take a stroll along the beautiful promenade beach walk.
Next to Pier 60 is a nice children's playground and on the beach are huge inflatable slides and a bungee-trampoline (for fee).
Coachman Park

If you love sailing small sailboats, you have to check out the Clearwater Community Sailing Center! It offers memberships but also rents boats to guests and visitors.

Several cruise lines operate from Port of Tampa on the east side of Tampa Bay.

Shopping is a diverse and fun filled experience in this area. Who doesn't love to shop!

Clearwater values its parks and provides many parks and recreation facilities throughout the area.
Area Dog Parks and Beaches
Let your dogs get some fresh air, exercise and maybe even socialize with some others. There are many Clearwater Dog Parks and fortunately even a couple of Dog Beaches. So find one near you, or explore a new one, and get out with your favorite pal(s)!
Arts and Culture
Ruth Eckerd Hall is a world class performing arts center along with many nearby museums and theaters in St. Petersburg and Tampa.

Clearwater, and more generally the Tampa Bay area, is host to many sports teams and activities.
